Privacy Policy for Entropy Zero: Overdrive
Welcome to Entropy Zero: Overdrive ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal
information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy applies to all information collected through our web
application, Android application, and any related services (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please
discontinue use of our Services.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information to provide, manage, and improve our Services.
1.1 Personal Information You Disclose to Us
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you register on or log into the Services (e.g.,
via Google Sign-In).
- Account Data: Email address, Display Name, Profile Picture URLs.
- Game Data: Puzzle completion times, high scores, chapter progression, and leaderboard
standings.
1.2 Information Automatically Collected
- Device and Usage Data: Hardware model, operating system version (e.g., Android version),
distinct device identifiers, crash analytics, and app interaction data.
- Advertising Data: Mobile advertising identifiers (e.g., Google Ad ID) are collected
strictly by our advertising partners to serve personalized or contextual advertisements.
1.3 Minimal Collection Notice
We do not collect your physical location via GPS, access your camera, microphone, or user
contacts.
2. How We Use Information
We process your information for purposes based on legitimate business interests, the fulfillment of our contract
with you, compliance with our legal obligations, and/or your consent.
- To facilitate account creation and logon: Facilitating Google OAuth logic to track your
leaderboard performance seamlessly across devices.
- To manage user accounts: Operating the global leaderboard and saving puzzle game states.
- To deliver advertising: Working with third parties (e.g., AdMob) to show ads tailored to
your interests or contextual relevance.
- To fulfill orders: Processing in-app subscriptions ("Entropy Pro") safely without directly
storing your financial details on our internal servers.
- To ensure service stability: Resolving crashes and observing error metrics via Firebase
Analytics.
3. Information Visible to Other Players
The global leaderboard is public. It can be read by anyone using Entropy Zero, including players
who are not signed in. When you complete a puzzle and a score is submitted, the following becomes visible to
other players:
- Your display name — either the name you choose in the app, or the name on your Google
account if you signed in with Google. If you have set neither, an anonymous handle such as
Player 4F2A9 is shown instead.
- Your score, move count, completion time, and which board you played.
- An anonymous player identifier, used to group your entries and to let you delete them later.
Your email address is never shown on the leaderboard or used to generate a display name, and
profile pictures are not published to it. You can change your display name at any time from the leaderboard
screen, and you can remove your entries entirely using the deletion routes described below.
4. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We only share information with the following service providers to ensure the functionality of our Services:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Analytics): Used to securely store user
credentials, game saves, and leaderboard high scores. Firebase Privacy Policy
- Google AdMob: Used for serving display advertisements within the app. AdMob utilizes
specific device advertising IDs. AdMob Privacy
Policy
- RevenueCat: Used exclusively to manage purchases and subscription statuses globally across
platforms. RevenueCat Privacy Policy
5. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you reside in the European Economic Area (EEA) or UK, we process your data under the following legal bases:
- Consent: Specifically for targeted advertising and non-essential analytics tracking.
(Controlled via your device's global Ad Tracking settings or in-app Consent Management Platforms).
- Legitimate Interests: For operating the core components of the puzzle game, maintaining
security, and preventing fraud.
- Contractual Necessity: For fulfilling the delivery of digital goods ("Entropy Pro") you
requested.
6. User Rights (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, DPDP 2023)
Depending on your region, you have the following rights:
- Right to Access & Portability: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): You can request the deletion of your account and
associated leaderboard data.
- Right to Opt-Out: California residents have the right to opt-out of the "sale" or "sharing"
of personal data used for targeted advertising.
7. Play Store Data Safety Compliance
To comply with Google Play's 2026 Data Safety requirements:
- Data is encrypted in transit using secure connections.
- Data collection is required for core app functionality (cloud leaderboards and progression) but remains
optional for guest mode gameplay.
- Your display name and player identifier are shared publicly when you submit a score, because
the leaderboard is readable by all players. See Section 3.
- Users can request complete account and data deletion via the app interface or email.
8. Account Deletion Instructions
You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.
To delete your data:
- In-App: Open the Entropy Zero application, select your Profile/Avatar in the header
navigation menu, tap "Delete Account", and follow the confirmation prompts.
- On the Web: Visit our dedicated Data Deletion Request page at https://lumina-entropy.web.app/data-deletion.html to securely wipe your account from
our servers.
Alternatively, you can email us at the contact address below with the subject "Data Deletion Request."
Once requested, all your records in Firestore, Authentication, and Leaderboards will be permanently and securely
deleted within 30 days.
9. Children’s Privacy (COPPA)
Our Services do not address anyone under the age of 13 (or under 18 for certain regions under India's DPDP Act
without parental consent). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If you
become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately so we can take
necessary actions to wipe their records.
10. International Data Transfers
Our servers operations (via Google) are primarily located in the United States and the European Union. By using
the app, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries outside
of your residence, which may have different data protection rules.
